This silver brooch captures the shape of a bird in flight silhouetted against the sky. I think of him as a jay, which is the bird we see most often in the woods, but ornithologists may disagree!
This bird has been cut from silver sheet, and has a highly polished finish. It has been fitted with a silver brooch back with a revolver safety catch (not handmade), so it will stay securely in place when being worn.
The bird measures approx 2cm (0.7 inches) by 3cm (1.1 inches), so small and neat for a brooch. It’s a very strong shape, and an elegant unfussy piece. It would look great on the lapel of a dark jacket or coat.
